AUSTIN, TX — The Austin City Limits Music Festival 2025 wrapped after two high-energy weekends at Zilker Park, delivering star-powered performances, surprise guests, and one of the most musically diverse lineups the festival has hosted in years. Fans from around the world filled the park October 3–5 and 10–12 for the signature Austin celebration of music, culture, and community.
Star Power Leads the Weekends
This year’s festival featured a stacked lineup of global heavy-hitters and genre-crossing stars. Headliners included Sabrina Carpenter, Hozier, Luke Combs, The Strokes, John Summit, and Doechii, drawing massive crowds to the main stages.
A major storyline heading into ACL was the last-minute shift in the lineup. Doja Cat withdrew due to album-release obligations, and the festival quickly announced The Killers as her replacement — a move that sparked excitement across social media.
The Killers made the most of their new slot, kicking off their Sunday performance with a tribute to Texas legend Willie Nelson, performing “Whiskey River” to the delight of Austin fans.
A Festival of Genre Diversity
ACL 2025 showcased one of its most eclectic mixes yet:
- Pop & Indie: Sabrina Carpenter delivered one of the most talked-about sets with a high-production show that lit up the night.
- Rock: The Strokes’ return to Austin drew longtime fans to Zilker Park in a wave of nostalgia.
- Country: Luke Combs brought Texas-sized energy to his headlining performance, filling the park with sing-along moments.
- Hip-Hop & R&B: Doechii’s set blended choreography, sharp lyricism, and electric stage presence.
- EDM: John Summit kept crowds dancing late into the evening with an immersive electronic set.
- K-Pop: In a first for ACL, RIIZE took the stage, expanding the festival’s international reach and drawing huge support from K-pop fans.
Surprise Moments Steal the Show
ACL is known for unexpected appearances, and 2025 delivered.
One of the viral highlights came when Role Model brought out Hilary Duff during his performance of “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out,” sending fans into instant excitement across TikTok and Instagram.
Austin Vibes on Full Display
Beyond the music, ACL kept its signature Austin charm with:
- Local food favorites
- Art installations across the park
- Shaded lounges and upgraded cooling zones
- Activations from nonprofits and local businesses
Crowds praised this year’s improved festival layout, better traffic flow, and shorter lines.
Another Year, Another Major Win for Austin
